When an opponent tags you during laser tag play, a yellow-orange light turns on. On your screen you will find a count down. When the countdown reaches one, your lights will turn off and for that moment no one can tag you and you can fire whomever is stalking you and waiting to reactivate. Use that time to tag anyone around you. If your vest vibrates you have been tagged in the back or chest.
Aim the phaser at any of the lights on your opponent’s shoulders, phaser or front or back. When you tag an opponent a yellow-orange light will turn on. Get out of the way when they are reactivated. All of your opponent’s lights momentarily turn out. You cannot tag them at that point, but they can tag you.
There is a base color for each team. Inside the base there is a triangle of single colored lights. If it is the opposing team’s base, go for it. You will score 1,500 points for your team. However, if you tag your own base, you will lose 1,500 points. You can score the opposing team’s base only twice. Keep tagging the bases lights until the base declares the hit and the lights start flashing. It will take you four hits before the base is scored for that player.
Flashing lights in the shape of an x are scattered throughout the outer zone. Some are hidden in a object. If you tag them, it will stop flashing and you will gain 25 points. You will also have activated a sound effect or animatronics’ device.
When the game is over you will receive a team score sheet detailing your hits, accuracy and points. Be sure to remember your codename each time you play. The score sheets are given out at the front counter using the codename of each player.
